SUPPORT LLAA
Kappa Sigma Scholarship Fund
Several years ago, many generous Lambda-Lambda Chapter alumni and friends of our fraternity provided seed funds to establish an important legacy — the ‘Kappa Sigma Scholarship Fund’. As of May 31, 2018, the corpus value of our fund has grown to over $63,000 and is part of the institutionally managed scholarship endowment of Elon University.

About Our Scholarship
Starting in the early 1990s, generous Lambda-Lambda Chapter alumni and friends of our fraternity began providing seed funds to establish an important legacy — the ‘Kappa Sigma Scholarship Fund’. By 1999, the fund had grown large enough to be deemed an official component of Elon College’s institutionally managed scholarship endowment.
Thus, Kappa Sigma became the first Elon Greek-letter organization whose alumni formally endowed an academic scholarship for undergraduate brethren. Because this fund exists, Kappa Sigma undergrads who demonstrate both leadership prowess and academic integrity may apply for valuable scholarship awards that enable them to continue their academic pursuits.
Scholarships are available for award each academic year. Eligible undergraduates must apply for the award shortly after the fall semester begins. The Scholarship Committee of the Lambda-Lambda Alumni Association reviews all candidate submissions and determines the winner(s) and the dollar amount(s) awarded. Formal announcement and presentation of the Scholarship Award(s) occurs during the Association’s Annual Meeting held at Homecoming.
Each year, the earnings from the Kappa Sigma Scholarship Fund become available for distribution to qualifying undergraduate applicants. Our collective sponsorship of this scholarship fund is just one more reason why Kappa Sigma at Elon University continues to be the unqualified campus leader.
