Homecoming 2023 was a tremendous success, welcoming back over 100 brothers as we spent 3 days enjoying the treasured friendships and bonds of brotherhood.
One of the favories of the weekend was the photo booth at the Friday night 50th Anniversary Reception.
The Lambda-Lambda Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity celebrated their 50th anniversary during Elon's Homecoming Weekend (October 20-22, 2023). This video was created by Mark Novey and presented at the Friday night 50th Anniversary Celebration, which was held at the Snow Family Grand Atrium, Schar Hall on the historic Elon campus.
With multiple nominations and a unanimous vote, Carter Smith was awarded both the William E. Gortney Distinguished Alumnus and Alumnus of the Year awards. Carter has worked tirelessly for the chapter and has been leading our effort for a recolonization. Through engagements and sessions with Nationals, as well as representatives from Elon, Carter has helped pave the way to a strong consideration for approval. He is also working actively to determine the processes we will follow for this, identifying all of the resources needed to make recolonization a reality.
The Distinguished Alumnus Awards are presented annually during Homecoming weekend and are the highest accolades conferred Lambda-Lambda Chapter of Kappa Sigma.
