Louis (Trey) F. Foy, III

Grand master

Trey, originally from Pollocksville, NC, graduated Cum Laude from Elon in 1996. During his course at Elon, he was also four-year Varsity Letterman for the Football team.  Following completion of his undergraduate degree, Trey obtained a law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 2000.  He is a partner with the law firm of Walker, Allen, Grice, Ammons & Foy in Goldsboro, NC, where he concentrates his practice in medical malpractice defense.  Trey is also on the executive committee of the Board of Trustees at Arendell Parrott Academy in Kinston, NC, and a member of the Phoenix Club Advisory Board for the Athletic Department at Elon.  Trey resides in Walnut Creek, NC, with his wife, Emilie, their two boys, Louis and Charles, and three dogs. 


Mark Novey


Mark, #248, graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Virginia. As an undergrad Mark served as the Grand Scribe for Kappa Sigma, as well as on the executive board of the Elon Interfraternity Council. He is currently an IT manager at Capital One. Mark resides in Richmond, Virginia with his 17 year old son Brent. 

Gary W. Evans


Gary W. Evans is the President of Atlantic In-Home Care, LLC, a home health care nurse registry that arranges nurses to care for pediatric and adult persons with disabilities and seniors in their homes in South Florida and the Treasure Coast areas.

Gary is also President of International Media Consulting, LLC, consulting with newspapers and membership organizations such as SiriusXM Radio. Prior to consulting, Gary serviced as a Marketing Director for USA TODAY in McLean, VA. He started his media career with The Palm Beach Post in South Florida.

Gary lives in North Palm Beach, FL most of the time but travels frequently to his other home in Reston, VA. Gary and his Elon graduate spouse, Patty, have two children and two grandchildren. They are active members of the Unitarian Universalist churches in Oakton, VA and North Palm Beach, FL.

Carter Smith


Carter, #321, graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. As an undergraduate Carter served as Grand Procurator for Kappa Sigma, as well as SGA President and SGA Vice President. He currently works in biotech pharmaceutical sales as a representative with Amgen. Carter resides in Winston-Salem, NC with his wife Sarah and three sons, Rhodes (14), Hayes (11) and James Kenyon (9). 

Barry Baker


Barry Linville Baker #11 Founder, Class of 1973 BA in BS has been on and off Lambda-Lambda Alumni boards since 1998-99. He now serves as an Assistant Alumnus Advisor. Also chairing the class of ’73 Homecoming 2018 co-chaired 2013 40th reunion w/ Zene Fearing  He is married this June 40 years to his wife, Rosemary they have 2 dogs and is Semi-retired. Barry owns and lives in Kernersville NC.

Garrett Mcknight


Garrett, #806, graduated from Elon in 1994 with a degree in Communications. While at Elon, Garrett was a Varsity Letterman for the Baseball team and was involved with the student radio station – WSOE 89.3 – hosting a sports talk show with fellow Kappa Sigmas, Michael Beale, Ryan Lantz and Mike Melamed. Garrett has spent 20 years in the financial services industry and is currently a Managing Director with Northern Trust. In 2017, Garrett received the Distinguished Service to Elon Award. He currently is a member of the Phoenix Club Advisory Board for the Athletic Department at Elon and is a former member of the National Alumni Executive Board. Garrett resides in Phoenix, AZ and Kennebunk, ME with his wife, Magill.

Frank Fannon


Frank, #317 was raised and still resides in Alexandria, Virginia. Upon graduating from Elon with a degree in Corporate Communications in 1991 he pursued a career in real estate finance and has worked with SunTrust Mortgage for the past 24 years in residential lending. Frank has been President of numerous organizations in Alexandria and was elected to the Alexandria City Council in 2009. While at Elon, he served as the GT of Kappa Sigma. In his free time Frank  enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his family and young son T. Jackson Fannon.
