HOMECOMING

#ELONHOME

It's a celebration 50 years in the making!

While each event offers specific details in the “more info” section to help make your attendance a pleasant one, we’ve also shared below the most frequently asked questions regarding the weekend.

Who's Invited To The Weekend Events?

In addition to our brotherhood, spouses, significant others, family members, and Kappa Sigma Sweethearts are absolutely welcome to attend any event, with the exception of the Annual Alumni meeting on Saturday. That is a brothers only meeting. We ask that you please help us share our event schedule with the sweethearts from your era and encourage them to join us.

do i need to register to attend homecoming?

Please register online.  You will pre-pay for the Friday night and Saturday night events on Elon’s website when you register. Walk-ups are welcome and will be able to pay at the door for those events requiring payment; however, attendance may be limited (fire Marshall capacity limits), so please make every effort to pre-register if you can. Registering online will give us the most accurate headcount of expected attendees and further assist us in providing the necessary provisions for each event.

MORE INFO

Location
On Friday night, we will have our 50th Anniversary Reunion in the Snow Family Grand Atrium, located within Dwight C. Schar Hall (prior to 2000 this was college library), which is part of the School of Communications. (Not to be confused with the Schar Center which is the sports arena / convocation center.) The atrium is located is at the corner of Lebanon Avenue and Williamson Avenue, just across the street from downtown Elon.

Evening Agenda
The Friday night reunion event is scheduled to last from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

From 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, we will have a cocktail hour and food service.  It is a cash bar and buffet style heavy hors d’oeuvres that evening operated by Elon’s catering services, and beer and wine will be served. The food options will allow you to make a full meal, but it will not be a formal sit down affair.  However, there will be plenty of seating/tables to allow for you to sit while eating. Payments accepted include cash and credit cards.

From 8:00 pm to approximately 9:00 pm, we will retire to the theater connected to Snow Atrium for our program portion of the evening, to include various presentations and discussions about the history of our fraternity, recolonization, recognition of past leaders, Kappa Sigma scholarships, etc.

From 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm, you may return to the Snow Atrium for continued beverage and food service.

Dietary Concerns
If you have any specific dietary concerns, please let us know and we will work to address them with Elon’s catering services.  Please do not wait to let us know about any such issues, as Elon’s catering services are extremely busy preparing for their numerous events Homecoming weekend.

Parking
Elon is not providing designated parking for our Friday event, so it will be first come, first served, wherever you can find a parking spot on campus or downtown.  Snow Atrium is handicap accessible.  There are multiple maps of Elon’s campus that show the various parking lots on campus as well as downtown. You should also reference the general parking information noted at the beginning of this email. It notes all accessible lots.
